I ordered this to try, because I have always liked the way a turkish blend smells. I hand injected it into Vera Cruz, Midnight tubes, and found it to be a wonderful morning smoke, with my coffee. It is very smooth, no harshness at all, and a really nice medium flavor. I wish it were a little less pricey, and it would be my regular tobacco.
The French vanilla is a very very nice smoke. It has a lovely bouquet and even non-smokers around me love it. I often get the comments that their grandfather..uncle..father used to smoke a pipe, and for some reason they were all jolly good blokes. For me the French vanilla is just right, and after experimenting after 52 years might I at last have found the right one for me.
100% satisfied with this Stokkebye blend. Pleasant and excellent bouquet appreciated by those around us. Unfortunately we pipe smokers can never enjoy the bouquet itself, but we can still enjoy the delightful experience of smoking a quality tobacco.
I have been using this tobacco exclusively (so far) for making my own cancer sticks; either handrolling or using a "stuffing" machine. It works very well with tubes, but handrolling is a little tricky as the tobacco is a very "rough" cut, which would be fine for a pipe. I have yet to try it in a pipe, but I'd want it a little moister for pipe smoking, anyway.
I have been using this as a replacement for the much more expensive Stokkebye "Danish Export" shag-cut tobacco, which is one of my favorites.
