      All cigarette manufacturers are now required to add fire retardents to their products.

      Does the same hold true for pipe tobacco manufacturers? More specifically, does your line of Captain Black tobaccos contain a fire retardent?

        A:

        Captain Black tobacco does not include a fire retardant. The FSC (fire safe cigarette) legislation also doesn't affect the tobacco itself - it has to do with the cigarette paper and how it draws air to the tobacco.
