The maduro version of the cigar is dark and oily on the surface, featuring a medium-sized vein. Even though the cigar has a very hard surface, the draw is excellent. The wrapper lends some sweetness to the smoke, which starts out a little unevenly, but then evens up nicely and results in firm ash. This cigar features earthy tones with notes of cocoa. The nicotine is medium strength.
The corojo version is a lighter color, and oily with several veins. This one also has an earthy tone, but features some notes of honey, spice and cream. Once more, the draw is nice, the burn is even, and the ash is nicely packed. . Like the maduro, this cigar is medium strength, not as strong as the label implies.
