This has been the best alternative to a Marlboro Ultralight. Its still a bit strong, however with Beretta tubes and putting in 4 small pin holes the flavor is almost an exact match.
Better yet get yourself a lb of vanilla or Wild Cherry and mix in 5-10% into the mellow flavor for a fantastic RYO experience.
Draw backs, southern steel provides 15 rather then the standard 16 ounces :/
I've converted my 2 pack a week habit and my mothers fixed income 7-8 packs a week habit into something manageable... and without the additives in commercially made cancer sticks... a healthier cancer stick to boot.
Be forewarned the smoker smell on your cloths hands hair etc is worse with all of the brands I have tried, these included, although the vanilla and wild cherry make it a little less worse. We have tried, Cherokee, 4 Aces, Good Stuff and Ohm mellows for a light cig... we rank them as follows, your mileage may vary depending on your tastes:
Good Stuff 2nd tie
Ohm 2nd Tie
Cherokee (close fourth to 4 aces)
I was experimenting with getting different tobaccos on the web since local shops are no longer carrying "bulk" tobaccos. I must say I was disappointed in this brand. Cut like a cigarette tobacco, it burns very quickly. Maybe it's fine for a RYO use, but I'd suggest that serious pipe smokers try something else. On a positive note, B&B service and delivery was first rate.
