Unexpectedly Good
"I’m a big VA/Per blend fan and there are a ton of them out there. This one slipped past my notice for quite a while until a friend gave me a sample. It’s superb! I tend to be a little sensitive to Virginias as they give me some bite, but this one did not at all, and without sacrificing flavor. There’s a warm baking spice note that carries through the brown-sugar-sweetness (not too sweet), breadiness, and dark, dried fruit notes (raisins, figs). In the retrohale you can really pick up the perique with its plummy notes and slight hint of pepper. While this is not an extraordinary VA/Per, it’s uniquely delicious, consistent, and fulfilling while smoking cool, clean, and comfortable on the tongue. If you like VA/Pers this is a must-try!"
