Delightfully surprising
"As I'm only new to pipesmoking (I've preferred cigars for years), seeing CAO in the range I had to try it. I'm a fan of their cigars and this is no different. To start, on opening the tin you're met with a strong but very pleasant vanilla aroma mixed with the wood notes that you'd expect from high quality virginia and cavendish blends. The casing really is impressive as you thinks you're in for a super-sweet ride but the vanilla tones go so subtle on lighting that those wonderful oak/wooden notes pour through. This blend packs well, smokes up a treat with nice white plumes and holds its ember - usually not needing to be re-lit over the average 40 mins it takes to smoke. Not being a huge fan of aromatic cigars, I was suspect that this might disappoint. I'm pleased to say this is NOT the case and is on my re-order list as it's such a pleasant little gem - really good quality tobaccos with a masterful casing."
