Dunhill Diamantes: A Review by Ken York

Cigar Reviews

To start off with the Dunhill Dominican Diamantes is aged for one year in cedar-lined rooms to produce a mellow, well-rounded smoke. This makes a difference. The more a cigar ages, the more its flavors merge. The next time you are around a cigar roller (and all cigar lovers should be at least once) buy three freshly rolled cigars. Take the time to play my part and take notes on each one as you smoke it. Smoke the first the same day it’s rolled. Smoke another 3-4 days later, and the last after a month in the humidor. From your...

Kristoff Ligero Robusto Maduro: A Review by Ken York

Cigar Reviews

The Kristoff Ligero is excellent—well made, solid construction, great earthy smell, an excellent smoker. Ligero refers to a specific section of a cigar tobacco plant. Camacho Triple Maduro: A Review by Ken York

Cigar Reviews

Camacho’s Triple Maduro claims to be strong – it is. Not quite strong enough to wake up married to a waitress missing her front teeth, but definitely strong enough to give you a buzz and having you stumbling around light headed. My preference is for medium to strong cigars, but every so often you have to smoke an ass-kicker like the Triple Maduro to reestablish your manliness. The label’s slug line says, ‘Built Bold’ and ‘It’s a big bold smoke.’ No lie there – finally truth in advertising. The label, black and silver, is a no-nonsense testament to what you...

Historic Dutch Masters Rank High with Cigar Smokers

Cigar Reviews

Dutch Masters cigars have been rolled and wrapped in the United States for over a decade. These machine-rolled cigars come in two varieties; their cigars that are full sized, and the smaller ‘mini Dutch’ that is a cigarillo. Today they are still manufactured in the United States and feature Rembrandt’s painting ‘The Syndics of the Drapers Guild’ from 1662 on the package. They have easily become one of the most preferred cigar brands in America. Even their cigarillos are smooth and offer a mature flavor that burns evenly. Dutch Masters cigarillos are perfect for cigar smokers that want a small...
